Seasoned entrepreneurial executive with over 20 years combined experience in a broad range of dynamic environments. A Chartered Accountant by profession, John is the Managing Partner for a boutique style executive search firm with 3 partners specializing in general management, finance, sales and marketing and business development for mandates crossing a broad spectrum of industries. John was previously the CFO and VP Finance for Skyservice and has been active in the aviation community for over 10 years. He is a co-founder and Director of the Canadian Aviation Heritage Centre, continues to teach in the field of Aviation Finance, and is an industry advisor for the Aviation Maintenance Technology program at John Abbott College. John has held a number of Vice President, Finance positions subsequent to a successful career at Price Waterhouse where he completed his CA designation, finishing in the top 10% in Canada in 1987. John is a graduate of Bishop's University and continues to support the university as an active fundraiser for annual and capital campaigns.
With substantial hands on operational experience, John has developed exceptional capabilities in assessing client requirements by taking the time and effort to clearly understand the strategic challenges facing the organisation; and, how those challenges impact a given mandate. John is well known for his ability to properly identify candidates that will correspond well with both the identified operational requirements and the softer "fit" attributes of a specific client. Drawing on his pragmatic finance knowledge, John has successfully partnered with many organizations, gaining their confidence by providing enhanced advice outside of the normal scope of a given mandate.
